it takes P90 mags and ammo but dosent seem to offer any advantage over the P90.
in fact its longer and weighs more which would make it worse.
i dont know if G11 is on the list, but it should be.
i mainly play this game to see how weapons work and are manufactured which is useful as an engineer, and i would realy like to see how the G11 works in more detail.
But one of the advantages is that it works like an M4 that shoots more bullets and faster, by having a longer barrel than the P90 it as more range, and its made in 3 forms
The small barrel equiped with a silencer wich is the about the same size of a supressed P90
The medium barrel wich without the supresser its about the same size of the supressed P90, can still take supresser
Than theres the long barrel wich can also take supressers
Can also do more costumization than the P90 since you can change the stock, the handguard, the grip
Other advantage ia that if you use a hollow magazine, it catches the shells leaving nothing behind.
Besides the M4 is far bigger than the P90 and its still in use...but none of that matter, because the real reason, is just that i like it, and like i just wanna see in detail how it works a toy with it a little bit...just checked and the AR 57 (76cm)is smaller than the M4(83).
my opinion is that that isnt an advantage XD
but i get your point.
"shoots more bullets and faster"
it would have a slightly higher muzzle velocity due to the longer barrel but the barrel on most of the ones i saw was barely longer than the 263mm P90 barrel.
and i dont see how it would fire more bullets unless it had a higher ROF than the 900rpm of the P90.
"Can also do more costumization than the P90"
but all of them will make it longer and therefore less practical for CQB :)
"you use a hollow magazine, it catches the shells leaving nothing behind"
there is a bag you can get for the P90 to do this.
"the M4 is far bigger than the P90 and its still in use"
thats more a comment on the decision making skills of the higher ups in the USA army.
most other 1st world countys are using bullpups because you keep the same barrel but loose about 25cm (10 inces) of the total weapon length.
but the american army has too many troops and not enough budget for it to be practical to re-arm and re-train all its soilders.
"just wanna see in detail how it works"
i can agree with that.
im most interested in the more odd weapons with interesting internals.
its why i want to see the G11 so much.
".just checked and the AR 57 (76cm)is smaller than the M4(83)."
P90 is bang on 500mm and about 2.5 Kg.
but im fairly sure i remember people asking for the MK3A1 jackhammer.
and there are only about 2 of them in the world.
same for the folding stock De Lisle carbine
most people are more familiar of the M4 platform than of the P90.
faster than the M4 not the P90, and i said that but im not sure;
i just know that its characterized as an smg instead of an assault rifle.
i could check that now...but in the middle of a game, sorry...the M4 is considered the smallest assault rifle and it works and yes i know the P90 is only 50 cm.
costumization doesnt make it longer makes heavier, still more tactical than the P90, ex: a granade laucher...
i didnt know about the bag thing...ill check it out...
i also like the strange and different guns
and i never said anything about CQB...
G11 is probobly one of the strangest working weapons made since 1900 so i would have liked to see the insides work in more detail than the online diagrams i have seen.
