No promises though, but I think it sounds like something fun, so hopefully we can help out with this : )
There are pretty easy ways to extract assets from any game. There are apps intended to debug rendering, which can hook in to a game and extract any data really. Sure, you might not get all the skinning and bones, but there are plenty of 3D apps that can assign pretty simple human rigs to models. There are probably specialized apps for this as well I would assume, and if you know your away around blender, I think it will probably not be that hard to do.
