Weary from crashes
Game crashes. A lot.
None of the goofy ahhh fixes do anything.
i9-14900K, 32 GB RAM, GTX 4090, the game should run like butter on high settings but the memory leaks like a sieve and I crash anywhere from 5 minutes to 1 hr of playing.

Guess I'll just have to wait and see if/when they patch the game. :steamsalty:

I average about 3 hours, but yah sometimes it can happen under but it's rare for me. The most common crash (as was with OG Oblivion) was cell transfer crash's. Or one area loading into another, especially and most frequently from an interior cell to the over world. Always have F5 at the ready.

I hope they can do something to improve the stability but I kinda doubt it running the original crash happy engine under it all but maybe /shrug.

im having the same issue with a geforce rtx 4060ti, and i even lowered the graphics but it keeps crashing at times where the performance is not really an issue, like shopping or inside other menus.
Yes, f5 does the trick but it's annoying and i fear it will mess up the videocard if this keeps happening.

I've been struggling with this issue since one week after launch, when i updated the display drivers. Game started randomly crashing. Sometimes it'd be hours just fine, sometimes, crash multiple times in 10 minutes. Didn't really care that much, crash=break.
Yesterday, i updated to the newest nvidia driver, just a clean install. Game crashed on load. managed to load, game crashed 10 seconds later. Loaded again, another crash. Rebuilt shaders, crash a few seconds after load.
Reverted back to the March driver. Put 4 hours in yesterday, no crashes. You'll notice some jank in the frame rate, but it'll still run fine. Give that a try.

I had the same thing happen Xenomorph. I was not having any issues until I updated my drivers, but now I am getting crashes all the time. Crashes are happening every 10-15 minutes.

So I tried to revert back to the previous driver... and holy crap did everything get worse. CPU usage went through the roof when I fired up Oblivion and my frame rates dropped to a couple frames a second. It was completely unplayable. This sucks.

Only time I crash is if I repeatedly scum save for loot drops.
Otherwise I can play for hours no issues.
Your issue is between the monitor and chair
RTX3090
64 gigs ram

The cpu-usage goes high when the game is compiling shaders, while you don't get visual confirmation for this happening if you just delete the cache files. Let it sit in the menu until the usage goes back to normal (you might want to cap the fps though).

I had no frequent crashing problem (only 1 occurance) but my game begun freezing after over 60 hours of gameplay and deleting the cache files at %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Oblivion Remastered\Saved fixed that problem to me. I've been using 576.28 driver all this time.

I had similar crashes with Unreal engine games and my i9 13900k with 4090. It was maddening. Happened in any Unreal 5 engine game. I did a ton of research to find the solution. It had to do with the motherboard makers overclocking the chips at default. This is a well documented problem with the Intel chips in the 12/13/14 series. You have to set it BACK to intel defaults, which respects Intel's max voltages. In my case Asus was the culprit. Unfortunately I ran the chip at Asus volts for a year, which has undoubtedly degraded the chip. You have to have your chip ID number off the damn original heatsink package (long tossed) to get a replacement from Intel. I decided to go with the hardware gurus fixes. You must lock your cores at a lower multiplier, and use Intel's default voltages. Now no more crashes. Oh, BTW, the microcode updates from Intel were garbage.
