Their prices are insane, basically i have bought nothing so far except repair hammers and I have to spend all my money for just 1 spell or so
There some spell can make enemy weak to magic and spell that can make enemy weak to that element more.
Just tell show me what rank the spells are so I know what i need to look forward too.
And I like the idea that each city schools a particialur school of magic, I like that concept.
Or you can go claim Frostspire tower which comes with a spellmaking station among other things. But to activate the station you have to buy an item from town which costs 3k+.
Of course it's probably already too weak of a spell so you need to either buy one or make one. Go on a looting spree and save up while doing the mage guild recommendations quests to get access to a spell crafter.
Vanilla spells are atrocious.
But spellcrafted spells, are crazy OP so start craft spells.
You definitely need some stronger spells, or to stack weakness spells on the target to make those base spells more worth it.
You will get a free magic staff and one of the most cost efficient destruction spells in the game during the mages guild questline but keep in mind the effect is leveled and if you want the best version of those gifts (which are actually some of the most useful and powerful in the game) you need to wait until level 30+
As for the magicka issue: Spell absorb. 100% and telekinesis spells will act as a magic recharge. Or you can make custom "Fortify Willpower 100 points" spells, combine it with a fortify magicka 100 points and fortify intelligence 100 points of the same duration and as long as the spell cost is less than 300 you can make and stack as many of those as you like. (keep in mind this requires restoration 100).
Spell absorb 100% might be do-able at your level with sigil stones.
If you are playing a mage and not using spell crafting you are doing it wrong.
Spell crafting lets you mix effects to make some of the most powerful builds in the game.
For instance
100% weakness to magic.
100% weakness to an element.
10 points of element damage for 3 seconds.
That combination does 120 damage due to the stacking effects.
But will cost less then 1/10th the magic that just doing 120 damage of an element straight up will.
And it can get even more busted then that if you layer in drain health effects first in the spell because that can take 100 health off the top of an enemies health before damage is done.
There are similar combos for spell buffing your stats & abilities.
As for where to get spells.
Dungeons where conjurers, necromancers and rogue mages are occasionally drop tomes.
Besides the mages guild chapels will sell restoration spells.
A few shops in the central city and a few others will also sell spells.
And if you get the money to upgrade it frostcraig spire can be used to spell making if you dont want to bother with the mages guild.
