Thieves Guild (The Ultimate Heist)

Hello, I'm trying to obtain the Elder Scroll but won't let me sit in the chair? Is there a fix for this.

I'm starting to understand the community's demands for a update from Bethesda. Frustrating.

I submitted a support ticket to Bethesda. Pure cancer bull s***, lol.

I had this same problem. Make sure you have killed the 2 statues that come alive when you shoot the key arrow to open the portal to the guard room before you enter the portal. They were not very obvious and I didn't even notice them the first time I did it. This caused me to keep getting detected while trying to sneak even tho I was using 100% chameleon. I finally saw them after reloading my save a couple of times then was able to sneak properly all the way to the library, get the scroll and finish the quest.

I just added the Elder Scroll using the console command. This quest must be the worst quest out of all of them. I enjoy the Mages Guild quest line.

far as I know messing with the console deactivates achievements so if those are any important... I don't recommend listening to instructions on how to fix bugs with console commands.

I got the mod to enable achievements. Fixed my problem.

If you warp into the castle area and you hear the enemy combat music you need to reload a save and make sure you kill the enemies in the area like those two statues if you try to sneak in the castle and it says you're visible ditto.
