Two Sides of the Coin Bugged?
Hey folks! So, question - is this quest bugged? Husband sends me to kill his wife. I do, then I grab the real necklace, go outside. NOT A SINGLE GUARD OUT THERE SAYS something till I get to the jail and Jailor is like STOP RIGHT THERE! Wtf?!

No one saw me kill her, no one saw me take anything, no trespassing anywhere yet first guard I talk to in the jail knows I did something.

What's happening?!

Don't kill her at all. Talk to her, get the necklace, return to the guy. Then he'll tell you where to go. The corrupt guard will be there waiting for you, already having killed both the husband and wife leaving no loose ends and you in the clear.

Oh, I'll keep that in mind for next playthrough, thanks!

But bug in question remains - you're seen committing a crime without being seen committing a crime, o stolen possessions on you, but you're swindled out of bounty money because "house takes a cut", I guess, where all guard wish you a good day after the deed is done till you walk inside a prison.

Sorry the current playthrough bugged out on you. I've gotten into the habit of making far too many saves whenever a quest updates.

Yeah, I already had to restart bc Altmer wouldn't fit through a hole in the well while doing Mage's Guild recommendation quest :(
