Um... there's several reasons, like...because it will be/is built in the Skyrim version of the Creation Engine. While it isn't as sharp looking as Unreal, at least it won't have the literally baked-in bugs and issues that this remake offers (because it uses the original Creation Engine underneath it all.)
Also, because Skyblivion is handcrafted from the ground up, it will lessen the obvious tileset use/copy & paste style evident here. Dungeons and ruins will be tweaked to appear unique.
Oh and lastly, because if you own the original games, Skyblivion is absolutely free.
I'm sure that's how the mod authors have described it. But no one outside of the mod developer has played it.
I'm anxious to check it out when it's released...but I won't hop onto the crazy hype train and believe that it will fix all of the problems with oblivion. Even Skyrim has 1000s of bugs worked into there code. A polished turd is still a turd.
It isn't really a hype-train. Saying bring on Skyblivion, is to get away from this game 'til Patches fix the memory leaks. It is seriously unplayable for me. 32gb Ram, 2080Ti, 5800X3D
