Taxonomy of Obsession Quest - Shivering Isles

This is actually the first Quest I've encountered so far that isn't working properly for me. I brought the beast she requires to her but she is not interacting with it. I've followed Mirili Ulven all over Highcross with the beast following and she just walks past it doing her thing... so what exactly else am I supposed to do? Because both the Quest says just bring it near her and she'll subdue it and when talking to her about her Bestiary, she too says just bring it near me and I'll subdue it. So has anyone completed this Quest, what did you do?

The creature must be hostile to her. You can't keep it under your spell. Let the spell wear off and hope that she actually casts the required spell on it. She often doesn't for some reason and just keeps attacking it indefinitely(possibly not having enough magicha due to casting other spells first).

honestly i posted about this earlier also. every time i brought her something, she would simply kill it.

so i became lord sheoggorath and just killed her. quest complete.

Alright, that would definitely be something I have not tried. I'd keep the spell on the beast. I will give this a try then. Thanks.

Ok, I just completed the Quest. Was the most annoying one to do so far and took forever but got it done.
