Horse stay home
Sometimes I don't want my horse to follow when I fast travel. Is there some way to "unassign" a horse without grabbing a new one (i.e. simply become "horseless"), or to make the horse not fast travel with you?

Just steal another horse (mount it and then dismount it) without getting seen, also by any horse (horses can report crimes just like an NPC in Oblivion) - then the stolen horse becomes your "active horse" and your own horse will not follow you when you fast travel.

It is just so quirky that it fits right into the game, wouldn't dream of modding it out since it's so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny

They can even kick you out of a guild in some cases, lmao
