Not saying the issues you're presenting don't happen, but keep in mind not everyone's experience is like yours.
Do you have a pc that can run lumen hardware RT?
Cuz if you do, and you turn it on, it will crash constantly. It crashed like 15 times in the nights of the nine finale and I finally realized it's the spell effects lighting crashing lumen with RT on.
So you can turn it off and it reduces crashes but it looks like ass comparatively.
You're actually right at the cusp of where a lot of people start having game breaking issues. I start having more crashes around 50 hours, and by 120 hours I can't even play it anymore. But I do sincerely hope it works for you!
My PC can run lumen RT, and I do run it. Computer is not crashing AT ALL. So obviously your comment is incorrect. Sorry you're having problems, but you do not speak for everyone with a high end computer.
Wait a few more hours...
Playing in 4k with RTX on ultra.
After playing around a bit to get the most out of my setup. Here's what I've learned.
Shadows on Ultra aren't worth the hit. It's the biggest hit to performance. Followed by Draw Distance.
I've set Shadows on Medium. Draw Distance on High. Everything else on Ultra. It's given me the highest fidelity with the best performance.
I wish I could run this game native 4k but like you pointed out. This game runs like ass.
At first I tried running everything at ultra with FSR at 4k. That wasn't enough. So then I added frame gen.
That's when the crashing non stop started happening. Lowered some settings. Turned off frame gen.
No more crashes. Been playing for a solid week now without a single crash.
I'm using Lumen hardware RT on high and the game runs quite well and stable. My oldest character is level 27, close to 100 hours, and still loads and plays without any issues...
You must be new here.
Makes sense. Seems to like crashing during combat for me when enemies are casting spells.
