mage guild black soul gem quest *spoilers*

welp, without going into any embarrassing details, I seem to have buggered myself. I went to the ruin for the quest and as i arrived and before speaking to the battle mages, it said I had the black soul gem(which I technically didn't) ok I'll confess, earlier I needed a black soul gem bad to fill a sword, so I consoled it....the wrong one. I made a duplicate of the gem called colossal black soul gem. I returned to traven and he won't talk to me about it, just says go get it. *sigh* As you can see, I buggered myself and no idea how to fix this. HEWP ME!! lol

You need an earlier save. If nothing else, a save from before Traven put himself into the special back soul gem. And go through that part again, and follow the quest guide from the Unofficial Elder Scrolls website. Well, that my advice, and I'm sure it should fix it. Others might have ways to work around this. But that's the surefire way that occurs to me.
