It'll come when it comes. Or not.
- Search for mods with custom ini files that trully affects the game (most don't change anything substantial), those that remove lumen from the game have the biggest impact, but the game will suffer visually
- Search for texture swaps of landscape that are half the resolution of the original game, most textures are way to big and unecessary for those gamming at 1080p or 1440p, if you find these, the fps will increase and so will the loading times due to the lower vram requirements.
Note, using default resolution textures or even bigger ones is just a waste, especially if you don't get up close to said textures or use any other graphical technice that decreases overall quality, like upscallers.
- play with the graphic settings until you get something you like and makes the game smoother
Yes, a patch is recomended, it's clearly holding the game back from it's full potential
It'll be patched once they have something ready. Meanwhile, if you have an issue, ask here and we will try to help troubleshoot it.
All software companies do in every industry EXCEPT gaming. Crazy, isn't it?
Even Microsoft Windows and Linux, as complex as they are, would have acknowledged and attempted to fix the issue by now. What's this developer's excuse?
I've stopped playing the game now on PC and PS5 Pro (the console version is just as poorly optimised as the PC version in my opinion) and will continue once a patch drops that hopefully addresses the open world traversal stutters on both platforms, as well as fixing other bugs unique to this version of the game (such as the bizarre jerking animation glitch when mounting/dismounting the horse for example).
I've played around 50 hours of the game so far and I admit I've mostly enjoyed my time revisiting one of my favourite games again. Third-party mods have helped keep the PC version at least moderately playable compared to the travesty on PS5 Pro. However, I am extremely disappointed that the game was released in this state and with the lack of feedback from the developer. What irks me more is that Microsoft/Bethesda announced this game then shadow dropped it the same day! You only do that if your product is in a polished and finished state...
