Direct x12 Error

Hey I have checked my hardware and everything tells me I should be able to run this game, but it tells me that directx12 is not supported by this system (which is odd because i have direct x 12 and have presumably been using it fine with other games, but im not a technical person)

Or run dxdiag, go to the "Display" tab and check if you have feature level 12_2 or 12_1. If not your graphics card will not run this game.

See the above. If your computer supports DX 12 and you know it should work, it means the game:

1. Either cannot read the area where DX12's library files are located (SysWOW64) because of a permissions issue

2. The edition of Windows either isn't updated or has a problem with the install (or is not one that supports gaming)

3. The game's API call is being blocked by your antivirus

4. DX12 and DX isn't properly installed or it is corrupted -- not gonna type how to fix that here on Steam. Use Google or if you really can't find the answer with Google then use:

^ You paid for that support. And I need to be paid for supporting that support. Especially since Steam has a penchant for silencing me.

I tried a few intertnet fixes, I think it did end up being the GPU driver, but I will say that some of the other fixes i found online briefly created additional issues booting the game up, specifically the one that involved adding stuff to the game files (i think a different dx12 thing?) anyway, I upgraded NVIDIA and then re deleted the added files and that seemed to solve it
