independent thievery and arrow of extrication stuck

I saw and talked to Amusei in the waterfront and got the Arrow of Extrication quest before I had fenced 700 in gold. Now neither that quest or the Independent Thievery quest will progress.

how much would you lose if you go back to before you talked to amusei? doing that then getting to your 700 gold fence goal first might be the best fix. in fact, you can fence all the stolen stuff you need to to be covered for the rest of the thieves guild quests.

Its an very stupid bug as its very easy to steal a lot of stuff looting the castles.

Hard save on every level up and on start of major quests.
This should been an standard feature in the remake as it will be an issue if doing the thief guild late.

Unfortunately I did all the dead drop quests for the DB quest line after I talked to him and before I fenced the final items to get up to 700. I was hoping there was a way to fix it without doing stuff over again. Oh well :(
