Is it bad
That after over 50 hours, i still haven't delivered the amulet of kings to the priory?

i think most people ignore the main quest until everything else is done

Yes. You should have delivered the amulet so you can get the free storage chest, horse, and starter gear from the monks in the Priory before dropping the main quest.

(Obviously, the answer really is "no.")

You chose to do that for the safety cyrodiil because you know what will happen if you fix their problem

it's an open world RPG, imo no. cause I usually do the mainquest last every run in TES games I do. That way the final boss fight is still a boss fight, just for them instead :)
