IE: a spell that gives 100% weakness to magic and 100% weakness to fire, hitting an enemy who doesn't resist fire in any way with a spell that deals 100 points fire damage for 1 second will deal 400 damage instead.
Likewise debuffs stack in the same way:
2 spells:
First: 100% weakness to magic, 100% weakness to fire both for 5 seconds.
Second: 100% weakness to magic, 100% weakness to fire both for 5 seconds.
While they seem identical by having different names they're "different effects", when you use the 2nd the target will now take 16X damage from fire.
If you use the 1st spell again while the target is still under the effect of the second the 1st replaces itself with a stronger version and now the target will take 32X damage from fire.
Repeat as many times as you like to deal infinite damage.
This same principle also applies to buffs as well:
Summon a creature:
100% weakness to magic on target , 100 points fortify speed on target, command creature.
Use a second identical spell under a different name.
Repeat a few times then drain speed and now you will have potentially over 100k speed.
I know about all that. I'm just trying to simplify my spell book, you know?
The idea is to cut the buff spells down to 1 spell.
And have 1 attack spell, 1 Heal spell. Thats all I really use.
It would also be cool for some fun experiments. NGL. xD
ok, but that dosnt tell me where to find it. :)
Drain 100 health for just a couple seconds isn't that taxing cost wise but its still 100 less health said enemy has when another effect can hit them.
By combining it with other spell effects on the same spell you can nuke enemies.
Same goes for giving an enemy a weakness to magic & another element then having said element also be applied to the spell.
If you want to get wacky you can even do all 4 effects for big nukes.
For instance.
Weakness to magica 100% for 2 seconds.
Weakness to element 100% for 2 seconds.
Element damage (whatever you need) for 2 seconds. (this + weaknesses should quadruple the damage done)
Drain health 100 for 2 seconds.
