a quick solution to a problem
My mate knows I'm playing this game a lot, and sent me an article decrying the long-term issues with a game (including cycle-saving). The weird thing that I noticed in this was that while one of the big 'issues' it described was one I've had, it's one that I not only know what causes it, but how to fix it (and the answer was in these forums, in fact).

If you're having an issue of your character's camera seeming to get higher and higher, check to see if you're trying to do everything in 1st person view. Apparently there are a few things which don't work well in 1st person, and it's suggested that, in areas where you might be fighting anything which is likely to paralyze you (such as spider daedra, but a few other things as well), switch to 3rd person view beforehand. My guess is that the fact that paralysis (and likely horse-riding) try to forcibly shift you out of 1st person view, and, as a result, mess with your camera height. It may not be your favored solution, but it *will* reduce the issues of the camera height with little other difficulty.

Also, as a reminder to people who might be having a problem with a few quests (notably the Sanguine daedric quest and the Through the Night, Darkly one, try to reduce what is in your inventory *before* anything which has to make your equipment temporarily vanish...it's still an issue of the computer having to note what you have, take it from you, and returning it at the proper time...which is a strain if you've got a lot.
