Incredible, that there hasn't been a patch or hot-fix.
Pretty darn impressive, to release this remaster with MORE bugs, MORE crashes and MORE jank than the original.

I'm boycotting DOOM because of this, fix your games, stop rushing out releases.

Do you really think Bethesda cares that one guy on the steam forums is boycotting a massive franchise like DOOM?

Looking at the reviews, there aren't any major technical issues. As with any ue5 game there will always be hardware/software setups that dont play well with it.

I don't know what that horrible word JANK means but if you are overclocked its gonna crash. I couldn't even get in game till I dropped my overclock from 3.9GHZ to 3.6GHZ. If your overclocked your cpus is going to overheat and shut the pc down. I haven't crashed since. So yeah everyone who is overclocked get into bios and turn it down and it will stop crashing from overheating.

It's absurd there hasn't been a patch yet. Loads of issues that need addressing

Bro you need to play the game, lots of issues
there is no easy fix for the problems Unreal 5 has and its Epics problem to solve, not Bethesda's. Its just not a well optimized engine for open world games, why it runs just fine indoors even on potato systems

Impatient are we.

Shrug, said everyone at Microsoft.

They will issue a patch when ready as for the new doom game I'm sure it will do fine without you buying it.

Now your tempting me to go buy doom. Stop.
Would really like a patch to solve these UE5 crashes. Until then I've gone back and modded the ♥♥♥♥ out of Skyrim to scratch the itch.

There's certainly room for complaints with this remaster, but more jank than the original?! Come on! Until you (regularly, mind you) fail a quest before you even accept it because a quest-important NPC in a city far, far away from your character randomly falls off a bridge and dies before you can meet with them, it's not as janky. You're remembering the original with rose-tinted glasses, here.

reviews? dude digital foundry did a whole video on it showing here are memory leaks and major bugs just from reloading save games.
DEFINITELY check out this mod if you are experiencing regular crashes and are an AMD user. I got a rock solid 60fps and zero crashes afterwards. Just want to spread the good word: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/2637?tab=posts

If you are an NVIDIA user, then it may be a good idea to delete all your shader files (.dll files like the sl.pcl.dll files) since there was a DLSS latency problem when the game shipped...if you're an AMD user you will need the mod above since merely deleting these files alone will not help.
