Game is almost unplayable because of bugs
Hello All,

I am usually not complaining publicly about bugs but I enjoyed playing OG Oblivion and appreciate the remaster. it is clear that a lot of work went into it.

as someone who likes to try different race and class combinations, I have restarted my playthrough many times. however because of the numerous bugs I have decided to stop and wait for the patch. hopefully the developers will read this.

the bugs I've encountered thus far:

Oblivion gates opening before Kvatch (+red sky before Kvatch)

all Oblivion gates are opened (not just random ones) after Kvatch

weird scaling issues (tried to close the oblivion gate at level 2,5,7 and they are very different experiences. Level 2 was actually the way it was supposed to be from what I remember from OG Oblivion)

Storming Kvatch courtyard bug

Hordes of monsters before courtyard (these two bugs are related, whenever you see a horde of monsters in the courtyard, you will encounter the "charge the courtyard!" bug)

all NPC's are clustered at the same place when entering a place

frequent crashes (especially on existing the game but also in Transition and whenever there are many monsters at my location)

Streaming assets on every transition (loading textures whenever I enter a place) - very noticeable. I have a fairly strong PC - AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, Nvidia 4090 RTX, 64GB of RAM and the game is running on Samsung 990 PRO 4TB NVME. there is no reason for this to happen.

FPS drops

a missing skill book when entering the dreamworld in the mage's guild quest (you need to try and "push" it from the floor using another item in order for it to appear) and general questing scaling issues (killing fields, storming kvatch and so on)

I have tried to "fix" the above by installing mods (the unofficial patch, engine fixes and so on) but still it remains buggy as ever.

I hope this gets to the Dev's attention. I do not intend on bashing them, just expressing my frustration as I really like what I saw until now.

I resorted to 60 fps cap and intel xess on my 9800x3d and 4080 super. In games like witcher I can max and run frame gen with a cap at 80. The game runs amazing. In this game I try that and its a wreck.

I always cap framerate to 120 and enable V-Sync. on all games. just to make sure the HW doesn't fry due to a bug or something. tried DLSS swapper, tried unofficial patches, tried everything I know and still the streaming issue persists. I load an area and then it can take 5 seconds or more just to load all assets. could be the new Nvidia drivers but still no excuse.
