Where is the Best Place to make Spells and Enchants Early On?


Like, I know the Frost Keep is awesome.. but then you need to have $3000 to buy the mage candles.


Is there any spot where you can just go in and make spells/enchantments without the candles early in the game?

Like one of the Mage Schools?

Naah - those are the only two places iirc.
- Frostcrag Spire
- Arcane University(in the ArchMages Quarters, and in the Chironasium)

Do you still need the candles for the Uni, or can you just sneak in?

You can't get into the arcane university until you do all the mages guild recommendation quests. But after that you don't need to pay anything.

However it's quicker and easier to raise 3k than it is to get into the university.
