No patch 2 weeks after release...
I really hope they dont take like 2 monts for a simple hotfix. Just like they did with starfield. Took them AGES to adress a simple hotfix.

yes AND?
Do you expect them to release a small patch to fix one thing while there are tons of other issues? They grab feedback for 1 week, then create a patch, and stresstest it for another week / 10 days.

The patch is already in test, once they think it's stable enough to not have you guys complain about "patch fix nothing" they will releasa it.

There ain't gonna be a patch. You have to understand something, there is no incentive to patch the game.

When they made all those excuses about "jank" for why the game didn't have bugs fixed, you should have realised it really meant that they were incompetent and not capable of fixing the bugs present. There's nothing "cool" about leaving bugs in a 20 year old game, some literally game-breaking like that save file one.

Then the game released in a broken state with people complaining about it, and they went radio silent. You had every reviewer and influencer make excuses about "jank" and how "authentic" the experience is, even though you can fire up the older version on Steam and have none of those issues.

And you know what happened? People bought the game and it made a lot of money.

Now, people bought the game and it made a lot of money and they cannot refund it. Let me ask you a question: what incentive does the developer have to make this game function as you expect it to?

Much like Monster Hunter:Wilds, they've got your money and they have literally no reason to bother fixing the game, especially since all of social media praised the game and ran a noise campaign for them.

What's the incentive? That you will stomp your feet or not buy their product again?

They don't care because they've now go a bigger base of customers, so you, loyal fan or not don't matter.

Now, that's before we get into the fact that these kinds of bugs are ENGINE bugs and need ENGINE DEVELOPERS and DEBUGGERS not the regular dev team, to fix them.

Those two roles are almost always busy working on other projects, and there is no universe where a for-profit company will stop development on a new project to fix issues on a "financially successful" (but buggy) project.

That means the probability of a patch coming out that fixes performance is 0, UNLESS... there is a strong pushback enough to make investors uneasy enough that the credibility of BGS is doubted.

But are gamers doing that? Noooooooooooope!

So you won't be getting that patch.

They likely had no QA testers. You are the QA, just like Monster Hunter: Wilds :steamhappy:
Yall try this if you're getting crashes. I got a rock solid 60fps and zero crashes after using this thing: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/2637?tab=posts&BH=0
