Knight of the nine - How to disable DLC

Hello, I play a mage in Oblivion Remaster, I like RPGs. But every now and then someone mentions the massacre in the Chapel of Dibella in Anvil. The chapel itself, no matter what, will not return to its feet if I do not complete the entire DLC, and I do not like my mage becoming a knight. Is there a way to disable this DLC? I tried to delete the entry in the text file "plugin.txt" but the game does not want to start at all after that, you can see that Oblivion Remaster is inextricably linked. Maybe some modification?

Just ignore it. I mean, it is an rpg and you have to “live” with the things, which “happened” in that world.
As in real live… everybody is talking about the Ukrainian war, or everybody is talking about trump, or anything else. The only thing in RL is: ignoring it.

I think there is a mod on Nexus that can at least delay the start of the entire quest-line.
Maybe it can even postpone it indefinitely. I didn't check it out, yet...

Just doing a quick search yourself is too much effort?
It's the only mod that shows up when you just search for "knights"...

Since all of the DLC comes bundled together with the remaster there's no way to disable any of them.

So you got 2 options. Either do the quest line or ignore it. You can still role play being a pure mage or whatever your reason was for not doing it. The rewards you get from the quest can just collect dust in your storage.

Sorry, some time ago I tried to search under this phrase and found nothing, Mods are popping up like mushrooms after rain, apparently it's new, and I thought it was listed under some other weird password.
