Fathis Ules bugged

Just wondering if anyone knows a fix or console command for this. I did Fathis' quest "Sins of the Father" and gave him back the sword. Now, he seems a permanent fixture of Chorrol's inn. Any time I talk to him, he says our business is done and won't let me fence items to him. It's been a long time since I completed that quest so I can't go back and wait to turn it into him, like the wiki suggests. I was expecting to find him in the Imperial City where his house is since the quest is done.

I honestly don't know; this is my first time ever doing this quest line. I was able to fence goods with him while he's in Chorrol. It's just that once I turned in the sword to him, suddenly he stopped wanting to talk to me.

Same for me, he stays at the Chorrol Inn and doesn't want anything to do with me. He's a racist.

Nope, no such script exists to return him to the city after the quest, without mods you're stuck with the other fences.

Do you know of a mod to fix him, then? I just wanted him to be a fence again. If not, then it's fine; I'll just go elsewhere to do my fencing. It's just disappointing that I barely got to use him.

I am having the same issue except it's stuck for me on the Independent Thievery. I cannot progress the Thieves Guild as the Quest Marker is stuck on Fathis Ules in the inn

You don't have to use him, can use any of the fences (I tend to just use the guy in Bruma since his door is always unlocked and you can use him 24 hours a day. If he's not in his house he should be in the Tap and Tackle bar near the gate.) There seems to also be a bug that's preventing progress for some people but make sure you are selling STOLEN goods, just selling bartered goods doesn't count.

My issue isn't that I need to use him as a fence my problem is that the Independent Thievery quest line is somehow glitched to him. My map quest marker shows him in Chorrol. I have fenced over $5k worth of items, I waited a week straight in Imperial City and still cannot proceed any further in the Thieves Guild quest line since completing the Sins of the Father quest. I already beat the game and joined all mages and still can't finish it. I even broke my save trying different console commands to fix the problem. Safe to save I am never doing that quest line ever again.

The Unofficial Patch fixes a ton of bugs with this NPC and related quests.
