Can't find an Elven Bow

I felt like I saw them all the time before I picked up this quest..now they've disappeared from the game.

I am max level...when vendors sell bows I notice they are dwarven or daedric. Never Elven anymore. Bandits also seem to only use Daedric now. Did I miss my window?

You may still occasionally find them in chests but level scaling will mean that you rarely find a creature with them. Unless you use a mod like Ascension Remastered, most enemies will have generally higher level gear.

Hmm do you think if I join the fighters guild they will offer me low level weapons? i've never done that questline before

My fighter is level 39, quest trainer is a master archer, I need an elven bow. I bought it right away from Morvayn.
One thing, I have Unofficial_Oblivion_Remastered_Patch installed.

Hold on, bandits in your playthrough are using Daedric weapons!?!
Personally, I never liked that in the vanilla version, so I installed the Ascension mod plus a few others to get rid of that.

My char is level 40. Just bought one from Morvayn's Peacemakers to clear that training quest. You can probably get them at any weapon trader past level 20. If they don't stock it, wait 3 days and the inventory will refresh.

There's the Frostwyrm bow that you can find on the unique invisible troll near Dive Rock, it's an enchanted bow that'll always be elven.

The Archer's Paradox a weapons shop in Bravil that specializes in archery always has a chance to have one for sale. That's how I found one when I leveled out of them showing up in the loot pool.

After lvl 22, Bandits and Marauders slowly but surely start to exclusively wear only Glass and Daedric gear, respectivelly.

i leave them always be cuz i find them by the dozend
