Looks like the game is trying to access an area of memory that belongs to the kernel, it shouldn't be trying to do that. Have you validated the files or re-installed the game?

Delete the shader cache and make it reload. You most likely updated recently your GPU drivers and the shadercache mismatch is making you crash.

Delete documents/mygames/Oblivion Remastered/ all the folders inside except "SavedGames"

Then start the game with the -clearPSODriverCache command line argument. (remove this next time you start the game)

And shader cache will rebuild and adapt to the new driver.

Or if you installed mods, uninstall/install from steam does not remove it. you have to manually remove mods.

This is a non-productive argument. So mods told me and locked my thread.

Your thread was closed because you were mocking the game and ask people why they bought this "cashgrab" (and much worse appelatives) with your very subjective opinion.

Game runs perfectly fine for the majority of players, only a very small amount has actually crashes or bad performance. Or you would have all the 3 million players that bought the game on steam talking about it, not just 2-300.

Mine is a clean install, no mods.

So .. i did have Vortex manage my mods .. but i removed it .. reinstalled multiply times

i should try a removal where i also clean regedit ..

i am also thinking that maybe my savegame just is corrupted from the former mods i had installed.

When i try and enter the black flag in Dumbarrow cave it CTD

It is great that the game runs awesome? (what is that) for you.

It did not for me = what is "mocking" about this?

And "many others", please state your statistics for that.

In regards to play in 4K with 60 FPS.
Also for crashes etc, please state your statistics,

Nevertheless I was writing about "my" experience.
Your opinion is noted, but not based on any facts,

Keep quoting "trillions or whatever. you can imagine".
You are not answering my post. So please stop ranting.
That's just the generic message for crashes (often link to mods) on the UE 5...
Try to "repair files" then launch the game without mods once to see if it fix the crashes. Then you'll have to figure out which mod it is.

If you never modded the game, then idk, just uninstall everything of the game and install it again.
IF the game never runs, just refund it, it's not worth your money anyway.

There is nothing you or anyone can do. Once the game runs out of memory (during loadings this can happen) or the unreal engine does something it's not supposed to be doing (like loading content that has been flushed, rendering things at the wrong time) then the crash will happen.

The vast majority of players suffer from this, it's how the game is designed. Someone messed up and it wasn't any player.

I believe these crashes come from AMD FSR.
I'm a big fan of FSR but I think the implementation in oblivion remaster is not particularly robust.

I had seemingly random crashes after loading screens, when opening chests, or when opening menus or such.

I disabled FSR upscaling and frame generation and instead I'm using TSR and fluid motion frames in the AMD driver and that pretty much solved most of my crashes.
In fact it runs and looks better than ever.

It eventually starts lagging and stuttering if it runs for a while but I also made a lot of Engine.ini edits, so that could be the reason for it.
But to be honest that is my general experience: A bethesda game will crash eventually ... it's just the question how long it takes.

Capped to 58 FPS via Nvidia Control panel (as weirdly that's the default setting :wellok:).

Around 6 CTDs with UE5-error similar to the one of the OP, but over a course of more than 90 hrs of playtime.

Aside of 4K@60(58), I've everything to max (except annoying effects like Motion Blur or Depth of Field).
DLSS set to DLAA (DLAA renders in native resolution and still tries to make the image better) and frame generation on.

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
GeForce RTX 5090
2x48 GB DDR5-6400.
