Freezes

I have a problem with the game freezing. First it happened after leaving Fanasecul. As soon as I climbed the spiral stairs out the door, repeatable freeze. I managed to fix it by going to a save much prior to entering the dungeon. After that the freeze stopped and didn't return even after exploring Fanasecul again.
Now it happened after rescuing Martin and going to the chapel to rescue Jauffre. As soon as I entered I had a quite hard freeze that didn't even let me CTRL+ALT+DEL. I was about to turn off the computer after a minute or so when it unfroze, but the rest of the battle was like molasses 8 fps or so. After that I traveled to Cloud top, but my character was gigantic. After Martin ended his speech, freeze. I tried going back to a previous save but I'm still getting freezes a few seconds after loading, and endless loading black screens when traversing doors.
I went to check my plugins.txt as it seems to get mixed up very frequently and I found a"new" esp, AltarESPlocal.esp which doesn't have a corresponding esp in data and which wasn't there before. Here is my plugins.txt

However, deleting that line doesn't fix the freeze so it isn't that.

The game now freezes even in saves made hours before, and saves of another character so it is a general problem. Also, it seems to occur only, or mostly, in exteriors.

Haven't had this problem while playing on gamepass but it's no doubt an issue with Unreal Engine 5.

I found it is a common problem and a suggested workaround is delete OblivionRemastered_PCd3d_SM6.upipelinecache from the Saved folder, but it has to be done every time before you play. Apparently it worked... Fingers crossed, I hope it isn't a false hope.

start the game with the -clearPSODriverCache command line argument.
It should work as well

Don't enter it via the ingame console. Else your game is flagged as cheating!

I guess REM points to the Steam console?

But then again he stated that nearly no one has issues with this game. So he might be fake.
