Predictions vs Skyblivion
Just outta curiosity, if you alls are bettin' folk, what do you think will wind up being better, this or Skyblivion?

I believe both will stand fine on their own merits, but considering Skyblivion is a huge mod born out of passion alone, I think it will prove as a much better balanced and bug free experience overall. Time will tell
I do wonder if Skyblivion being just a huge mod will perform better than Oblivion remastered. I dunno all of what's going into Skyblivion, like how its put together, but I do know that certain intense mod pack overhauls of Skyrim tend to have some gnarly performance impacts.
I'm not making any predictions but I'm really enjoying this version. If Skyblivion is even better, then I'll be on cloud nine. I'll certainly give it a try.

is that still a thing? I recall bookmarking it like 10 years ago

Graphically it won't compare but other than that, anything is possible.

Allegedly coming out this year.

Yeah graphically it won't compare but that's fine because Skyrim has a design that just... ya know... carries so well. I do wonder if it will "play better".
You can't really compare them

This is Oblivion on a new engine with same gameplay tweaks and better graphics

Skyblivion is Oblivion's remade in the Skyrim engine using the Skyrim graphics with Skyrim gameplay

I am just glad that we will have three versions of the game to play. Plus Skyblivion might work better on the Steam Deck.

I'd say Skyblivion. It will be highly moddable and not dependent on the Unreal Engine, making it better optimised right off the bat, and accessible to more players. As it's using the Skyrim engine, it will also be less clunky as Oblivion Remastered is. (It still uses the base Oblivion Engine).
Well, Skyblivion devs promise at least some optimisation. Optimisation doesn't mean lower requirements. It mean smoother performance for supported pc builds. And minimum requirements should be pc builds that can run Skyrim at medium settings. At least this was one of their goals.

I predict Skyblivion will be postponed.
This game has no optimisation at all judging by stutter benchmarks side by side. Bethesda just slapper UE5 on with DEI approved censored skin.
Skyblivion I reckon will delay a bit and come out next year but will be the superior gaming experience while Oblivion Remastered will be the truer Oblivion Experience, since it's literally running off of the old engine and has a significant number of if it's bugs and other issues.

Silly question. Is a UE5 game better or a Creation Engine game better?

Only a hater or someone with very old hardware would answer "Creation Engine is better"

Skyblivion will be just a little further in the evolution of technology and imagination.
