I'd want more of a remake for Morrowind. There are parts of that game which have no aged well (and maybe weren't great to begin with), but the story and setting is still cool, and I'd gladly go back to that.
Same, would be ok for a remake...
But i don't trust Microsoft, XBOX, Bethesda, nor Virtuos, for doing a good job at that, they're gonna make it bad.
Yes please!

I've tried playing Morrowind on a modern system, and it needs more than a graphical uplift and bugfix, and the engine it runs on is even older than Oblivion's Gamebryo. Just updating the engine(s) to something more modern would help a lot, but I agree with the "needs a remake more than a remaster" concept.

Absolutely, needs a whole remake. Non-voiced dialogue isn't gonna fly today. But they can't just have VAs read the text- it wasn't written with voice acting in mind and would be bad presentation. So, at a minimum, *all of the dialogue in the game* needs to be rewritten with this in mind.

Funnily enough, unlikely. It would take a lot more work than just the graphics.
As others have said the amount of work it would take would make it unlikely.

Aside from having to give all the characters behaviors and AI they would have to give better movement skeleton to a lot of stuff and actually add voice acting.

Unless they want it to be more niche they would also likely need to change the combat, a lot of people just cannot handle the hit chance being RNG.

And this is before all the things people would complain are "problematic" they would likely have to change.

Modders have mostly remastered it already via mods so I would just stick with that because I doubt they would be willing to do all that when things like fallout 3 would be so much easier to remaster.
Neither.

Eh Square Enix proved otherwise with their pixel remasters. They sold just fine. Hell Mario and such sells millions without much voice at all.

Morrowind 2 would be dope...a bigger map with inspiration more from Oblivion then Skyrim...

They're obviously doing Hammerfell/Highrock tho...I'd prefer Elsweyr/Valenwood..maybe before I die..maybe

I dont think i want bethesda to touch anything morrowind related anymore. The people that made the gem of the lore and rich, exotic world that it was are long gone from the company.
I want Morrowind Remaster, but with a better map with markers and fast travel.
Everything else I want the same.

They could implement a TTS system like that READ ALOUD mod does. Which is a godsend because the text is way too small.

Bethesda is in no shape currently to produce a good game, much less a good remake (which Morrowind would have to be due to heavily outdated systems).

They'd end up destroying the legacy of their best game. I'd rather see another ~10 years pass, and them either waking up or selling the IP to a studio that will do it justice.

Wait... What do you mean with "Morrowind 2"?. :wellok:
