I can't even start CRASH CRASH CRASH
The farthest I've made it is about 3 minutes in. I read to roll back the Nvidia drivers to 566.36 but still crashing. I verified file integrity and everything was fine. After rolling back the driver it crashes even faster.

The last error was

LowLevelFatalError [File:W:\Altar\Engine\Source\Runtime\RenderCore\Private\ShaderCodeArchive.cpp] [Line: 385] DecompressShaderWithOodleAndExtraLogging(): Could not decompress shader group with Oodle. Group Index: 589 Group IoStoreHash:2bf18b2d5e6dedbc325c6f09 Group NumShaders: 88 Shader Index: 5768 Shader In-group Index: 589 Shader Hash: A7A2BA4108490A33CA18AA63BA00B52CA487C003

I can't be the only one with these crashes. Any tips?

If you have an Intel cpu, this may help you out

I'm running an i9 14900KF .. I see that's on the list in the link too though. I'll check it out. Thank you.

Be aware, this may seep into a deeper issue with 13th and 14th gen cpus having stability issues potentially leading to hardware failure. A bios update rolled out a while back last year to fix this, but damage could have already been sustained. Looking into it myself, updated bios already and trying to seek a new cpu under warranty. But it could just be this game. Can't say for sure, but want to let you know

Yeah I did some research today and found a few articles saying there was an issue with the CPU's but this is the only game I've had issues with even running VR games smoothly.

It's probably the cpu failing and different kinds of loads can bring it out more than others. I'd try updating your Bios to see if it helps at all. You can also under clock it. If it's the CPU for sure you can RMA it.

Same, the only game in my entire library to cause such issues. Could be just the game which would be insane, but I've only experienced this issue with Oblivion Remastered and found out about the bios-cpu problem while looking for fixes to my constant crashes. Game runs fine now, hopefully its just the game itself and not this more severe problem

Wukong might also do it for you when it starts compiling shaders. You could test it with the benchmark tool as it's free to download. My gf has the 13900k and is able to pass it without crashing. I'd recommend updating your bios if you have not already.

I'll have to try that out someday. Been waiting to catch Wukong on a good sale before I get, it would be nice to try that benchmark before I do since I know Wukong had some rough pc issues at launch for some. I'll keep it in mind
Maybe give this mod a look. I got rock solid 60fps and zero crashes since. Just trying to spread the good word: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/2637?tab=posts&BH=1
