Loading screens go black and get stuck
Doesn't happen all the time, but there's like a 50% chance that when I start the game, the next one or two loading screens (like when you enter a building) just go black and never actually finish loading. I can't close the game so I have to log out. If I've played successfully for a while then it'll be fine for hours and hours. No mods. Ideas? Thank!

It happens to me now every 2nd door i am going through, doesn't matter what save

Are you SURE....that's it's NOT your sister simply turning the light switch off????
Try forcing shaders to recompile & see if that fixes it. Steps to follow are in this post I found.

Following those steps will force oblivion to recompile it's shaders which fixed a number of issues for me. It will also reset the games graphics and other settings, you you may want to write them down before doing this so you can re-apply them.

I got same issue, every 5th loading screen, I found quick saving and quick loading buys me another 5 loading screens time and I can keep doing that - annoying tho..
My Theory is that its caused because the memory of old object dont get dumped and then over time it overloads oblivion
