For some players, the new Nvidia driver started to crash the game, a lot.

You can find the previous version of the driver on Nvidia website, so i suggest you just roll back to the previous one until a proper fix is released.

Also, when you update your GPU driver, you have to recompile the shader cache (or at least it has been reported) to avoid conflicts and crashes.

Delete documents/mygames/Oblivion Remastered except the SaveGames folder (and the config one if you want to keep your settings) .

Then start the game with the -clearPSODriverCache command line argument
(remove this after you started it once with it)

The shadercache should be recompiling.

I think they said they'd already tried rolling back the drivers.

"uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers" doesnt say if they did roll back or not. I just wanted to be sure they did :)

I had my first crash today when lockpicking. Strange crash. I could mess about with the lock but the tumblers would not lock in place and I was unable to leave the lockpick mini game.

Now that i believe, and that is something a real bug would do.
I suggest you head to their media platforms (discord mainly) and report the issue.
