To be fair, some of the stuff in that inclusive language section IS pretty ridiculous. I get people not wanting to use the term "slave" but "master" is a word not ONLY associated with the practice of slavery. Whitelist and blacklist, similarly, have nothing whatsoever to do with skin color. Our associations of white=good and black=bad come from night/day, not skin color. Had we evolved as nocturnal creatures, we would have the opposite associations.

And good god, I had not even heard yet that people were griping about execute, abort, and native too. Seriously, people need to step the f--- back and stop over-policing nonsense. It only makes people tune out any actual good advice you might have, such as the comment about avoiding colloquialisms and profanity. That's actually a good idea as anyone who works with colleagues across the world, knows.
