Never know though, difficulty has been a hot topic in the forum.
It's mind-numbingly boring. If they do update it, it'll very likely be Survival Mode where you're a glass cannon vs sponges who needs to eat, sleep, drink every day.
That's where mods come in. They're already coming out with new mods to adjust difficulty and add modifiers to spice things up. Don't ever wait on Bethesda to do anything for you, always look into modding.
The only way to play master difficulty is with heavily enchanted gear. Poison by itself is not worth it and only becomes truly viable with "Weakness to Poison" stacking.
The other option is to use magic/elemental weakness stacks with some elemental damage. Enemies will go down in seconds even on master difficulty.
Master difficulty is a sick joke otherwise. The fights take way too long.
They changed and added difficulty settings in Starfield after release, so it isn't unheard of for Bethesda to make changes there.
How long it might take is another story, Bethesda are known for being slow, very slow.
