Max'd Intelligence, but Low Mana :(
I've Max'd my INT at 100. However, I only have 200 Majicka, and one spell (Flame Tempest) requires 310 Majicka to cast. I'm aware that as my Destruction Magic goes up it cost less to cast; but I'm already at Expert Level; and I can't imagine that spell dropping to 200.

So... is there something I need to do to increase Magicka?

Advanced Thanx

Take a potion of fortify intellegince, a potion of fortify magicka, cast fortify magicka. 310 magicka is easy.
And this is the only way cast spells over 200 Magicka?

That's how you improve your magicka. You can also enchant, but it's not worth as much, like 24 or 25 points. So you could get say, a pair of shoes, trousers, two rings, a shirt and a hood for another 125 or so. Absorb magicka is another, but also very low return, it doesn't cover the cost to cast it.

To really get as much magicka as possible, you have to sort that already in character creation, at the level of race and birthsign.
There’s no rule that says you only have to use the premade spells. Go to a spell making altar and make a spell that fits your current magicka pool. At least until you can increase it.

Thanx All... and Yea.... I just found the answer; as KSH is stating:
High Elf +100 / Atronach Birthsign +150 / Max INT +200 :: And that's 450 without Enhancements. I'm RedGuard with The Lord Birthsign

But this makes sense to me; Some Races are just better at Magic. Cool Feature.

I'll Learn to live with this; but Thanx Mates.... Great Help!!!

Oh yeah, Redguard with Lord. That’s a tank build mate lol. You gotta plan ahead a little better next time. ;)

no high elf atronach birth sign, alch fortify mana/restore mana pot, weykland stone fortify mana on all 9 pieces gives another 400 mana, all in all capable of tacking down 1000 mana+

Depending on your level, the fortify magic sigil stones can give up to 50 which is significantly better than normal enchanting

There are many ways to gain additional magicka:
* Your race
* Your birthsign
* Alchemy
* Armour enchantments
* Spells

You can go crazy high if you really want to.

Yes... that's actually my next goal. I just picked up another set of Candles, but haven't returned to the Tower yet.

But on a slightly different question:

If I don't use all of my Virtues when Lvl'g... Do I lose them? I'm reaching Maximums on some of my stats, but to hit 100, I have to leave some Virtues behind.

Good question. I haven’t maxed out a character yet so I’m not sure how that works.

I figured as a Mage without a Tank protecting me, this would come in handy; Which has actually worked out well for me (Basically a Battle-Mage Build). However... while I'm use to having Low Mana in the beginning... I figured over time it would increase; but it really didn't :(.

I "Sort of" tested it... and it appears to be lost; but I'm unsure of what may happen when I level again. I may just have to keep items at 99 until all the other stats catch up.

I had 300 mana without enchantments (Dark Elf), now after enchanting my gear I have 650. Best enchantments are with Sigils from the Gates, starting from player Level 17.
