hearing odd noises
I cant figure this out but when outside in the wild I keep hear torch sound, like it just equipped one. Is this a bug or is the sound being used for something else when wondering out in the wilds?

Known bug, happens often.
This seems to be a settings error of respective material.
I hear the same.

It happens if a sound effect has a wrong setting so it will be heard by the player loudly, despite it's far away.

Torches, people drink potions or eat stuff or some weird fireball sound in the big tower of an Oblivion realm. :wellok:

Okay just saw what was causing it, the guards patrolling the roads way off in the distance, lighting their torches when it gets dark. There should be a range limit on sounds.

Exactly.
It's basically a flag that is not set on the torch.

So the torch sound is played as if the player itself lightened it.
Or drank a potion, or ate something.

I've never played around with the sounds of items in CS, but I read that from someone else here on the hub and it sounds plausible.
