For anyone experiencing massive stuttering
I highly, highly, highly recommend googling "Oblivion Remastered Ultimate Engine Tweaks" by P40L0X on Nexus Mods.

This is an extremely simple mod, in fact it isn't even a mod. It's a tweaked engine.ini file for the game that helped my stuttering problems massively. All you need to do is replace the engine.ini file in Documents > My games > Oblivion Remastered > Saved > Config > Windows (I recommend copying this file and pasting it somewhere else and renaming it to engine.ini.bak) with the new file.

I'm running the game on an RTX 5070 ti, AMD Ryzen 9700X, 32GB RAM, SSD, Windows 11. For me, like many others it seems, I was getting fairly good frame rates but very often I'd get these stutters or hitches that would freeze the game for a second every few seconds. This problem comes and goes and is most noticeable when the game is loading new cells or terrain in the distance. For me it really killed the experience and made the game somewhat unplayable. But it's been three weeks give or take with no patch from Virtuos or Bethesda for PC or PS5. This mod has changed the experience significantly for myself. While I do still get the occasional stutter here and there, I was able to play for a few hours straight with what I would say a 95% stutter free play time. For me this has helped MASSIVELY. I highly recommend giving it a try. I've also read comments from people on Nexus Mods that with lower end hardware they've seen massive performance boosts as well.

Also if you are wondering, this is just an .ini file replacer. It doesn't actually mod the game therefore your achievements do not disable.

it worked great to me. it's not a miracle solution, but reduce quite enough the stuttering to make it playable.

Well ♥♥♥♥, had you used one more "highly", I might have downloaded it. But you didn't. I'm not downloading it.

I'm running the same rig, tho with a 9600x...

I'm wondering what is causing you problems as I've completed 4 guilds and nights of the nine with no problems...

Maybe because I haven't hit the main quest that triggers the 50 Oblivion gates? IDK I'll try tomorrow...but I've seen little reason to complain thus far let alone use a mod..I also make sure all overlays including MSI afterburner and bandcam are turned off..do t know if that makes a difference.

That mod author does their "research" on Unreal Engine through ChatGPT, doesn't use proper tools to actually verify anything is actually working in game, and the result is that half the commands in that "mod" literally do nothing because they aren't recognized by the game. And of the working commands there are many that are just setting things to... default values in UE 5.

Oh also, they stole work from another person who makes Engine tweak mods and when called out for it deleted the comments and just gave them "credit" in the description.

Oh really? Lol even more reason to just not use that tweak ini. No wonder that ini is literally full of jibberish commands that do nothing. Yet you have users blindly defending it and won't ever actually test out what does and doesn't do.
