How to create powerful enchantments?
How do I enchant things to the same level as like the Black Band ring? It gives 3 super high buffs and when I try to enchant a ring with a grand soul it just gives a measly 10 pts to a single attribute.

What's the point of enchanting if the quest rewards are miles better than anything you could possibly make?

Short answer: you can't

Edit: There is a mods like Stronger Soul Gems on the nexus which increase enchantment strength but even the smallest option is a bit op. Nothing to add multiple enchantments

well that's just really disappointing. Whats the point of enchanting then?

That is the unfortunate reality of the enchants you can make yourself. Morrowind you could do some pretty broken stuff with potions and enchanting to make your character a literal god, So they overtuned it for oblivion. Theres still a ton of fun broken stuff you can do. But they really limited it. But it has it's own way of being broken for fun!

weapons can have multiple enchantments when enchanting with regular gems.

armors only get 1 enchantment, so it's best to use transcendent sigil stones for them.

this is just how they made enchanting because for some reason giving us more options would be overpowered lmao.

Well for example I want to enchant this full set of ebony with different things, but the max I could get would be +50 attribute points dispersed over the set. It just feels really... underwhelming and kind of pointless when I can find a ring that does over 3x as much for my character.

And enchanting weapons - why are the uses so low for enchants that are actually useful?! why does 20pts of shock damage only let me have 20 uses? Do I need to level up a skill to get more use out of this?
Enchanting armor and jewelry just isn't up to par with what you can find out in the world or from quests. You can potentially get some better bonuses using sigils instead, but it'll still be limited and obtaining the sigil you want can be a pain.

For weapons though, the use count doesn't matter all that much. It is still extremely broken.
Simply put Soul Trap for 1 second on any weapon you make and go complete Azura's shrine for her infinite use soul gem.

Don't put all of your damage enchants into one element. It's much cheaper to spread them out. On top of that, You'll do insane amounts of damage if you just spread 9-15 damage between fire/frost/shock and then add 100% weakness to fire/frost/shock + 100% weakness to magic on your weapon. The multipliers will stack up on each hit.
