[FOR DEVS!] Needed improvements!
Hey.
Imagine for a second that you have complete control of the future development of this game and you ask the community what needs to be improved.
What would be your answer?
For me it would be:
  • Improvements regarding performance. Especially on the Steam Deck.
  • The option to change the HUD to the original and not the "Skyrim-like" HUD which exists now. Personally, I love the HUD in the original Oblivion, because everything was sorted on the top of the screen and not cluttered everywhere else.
  • Speaking of the HUD: The compass doesn't show if you are near a discovered site or an undiscovered site. The original had distinct icons for each and made exploration thus easier.
  • The 3rd person running animation looks off and rediculous...
  • Selling many items at once is a chore. Why? Because the trader talks during trading and can't finish a sentence if you try to sell fast. Oh and selling takes to much time. Needs to get faster with a better UI.
  • Add the prison window which you can see during the opening cutscenes. This window still doesn't exist.
  • Reduce loading times within dungeons. Sometimes I feel that certain rooms where to much inspired by the original with loading times in between. They had their place in the original. Not here. Why are there certain dungeons which have like 6 smaller rooms and then a loading screen in between with 2 added rooms later? Back then there were certainly technical difficulties, but nowadays?
  • Add the feature that the interior map and not the worldmap is opened automatically if you are inside a building/dungeon!
  • Unleveld item rewards would be great.
  • Add the option to toggle the hit marker on/off.
  • Let me close the map with the same key with which I open it. Please.
  • Let the player see their body. Also add a proper shadow to the player model.
  • Fix missing bugs such as: (this list will get updated)
    - The bow disappears while crouching and equipping/unequipping said weapon.
    - Jakben Imbel disappears during the quest "Boots of Springheel Jak" (Thieves Guild). It is mentioned in the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages (Wiki)[en.uesp.net] as follows:
"Jakben was supposed to 'hunt for supper' on Morndas, Middas, and Fredas only. Instead, he takes his 10pm trip outside six days in a row because the package runs past midnight, in the process messing up the days for the AI."

Just like in Skyrim...

Complains about game mechanics which were found in Skyrim but not in Oblivion Remastered:

  • Add separate inventory slot for keys only. Otherwise the miscellaneous inventory is cluttered with them
  • Add some sort of symbol if a dungeon was already visited and completed by the player.
  • Add a Dark Mode for the inventory.
  • Add children. Nonkillable of course.
  • Add the option to marry.
  • Make arrows weigh nothing. Torches and gold already follow this rule, why not arrows too?
  • Show the %-chance of pickpocketing.

Thanks for reading!
