Bethesda is afraid of Skyrim, lmao...
So they turn their eye to "safe coding" (Read: Lazy) UE slop in trying to bank on nostalgia.

It'll become the next Palworld. Many sales that peak at a point, and then just drop off.

There's so much riding on and backing the overall Skyrim experience that it's not a surprise that that high 180,000 playercount dwindled quickly. Happens with all new games, and of course some buyers know next to nothing about Elder Scrolls in general, but it's inevitable that after all the heavy Skyrim bashing, people were only going to slowly stop trusting the opinions of random users online, and have a go at the game for themselves. A quick onceover of new Skyrim-related uploads featuring several folks' very first playthroughs speaks volumes on this notion well enough.

I "own" Oblivion already anyway, at least, the one that doesn't require 999e303 nuclear reactors and all the hopes and dreams of humanity to run it properly, lmfao. And even it has a wealth more backing it.

Gamers think just because the waters up a creek in Unreal Engine look like they could literally toss about in them like a wild animal means it will make the overall experience better. Lol, this is why the brunt of my Steam library is comprised of indie games and non-Sun's-core-energy-requiring titles, save for the miniscule amount of triple A titles there. I can manage near 144FPS, but it won't shatter my world if my PC doesn't maintain that rate on a consistent basis. Push-come-to-shove, I'll just drop the Skyrim mods, and go play Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara...with another local human being. Funny how real video games differ from the chains of AAA, ha ha.

Anyway, y'all have a good time with Oblivion, Skyrim, Morrowind, Daggerfall, Arena - whichever Elder Scrolls, and whichever video games you choose to pick up and have a blast playing. I won't be picking this one up, but good on those who are finding solace and joy out of the new life given to the Oblivion experience. Don't let anyone take that from you, least of all bitter old me.

The only real remedy Bethesda could pull to end the Skyrim community shenanigans that tarnish the game's reputation would be to pull the plug altogether, and I don't believe they're ready for that let alone willing.
What the hell is op drinking or smoking? lmao

So this is a massive cope for your underpowered pc. Well, good luck with that.

Arrogance up until the fault of complete obsolescence. Modern gaming doesn't have that much time left/time in the oven, and pun intended with how "cooked" your electricity bill must always be. :undyne:
If they don't fix all these bugs soon, I could see people walking away. Word of mouth catches up eventually.

TLDR: Ad of a different game.

Impressive. Almost a fraction of the global whole spread far and wide across the plethora of retro and retro-esque video games on offer, and not just one or a couple of individual flashy titles since it's literally the same "auditoriums'" worths of people eating up these slop AAA releases. If you wanted to die on the hill of a "pretty game" that hard, perhaps the bile you intended to sling with any actual efficacy was better slung under the wing of a "pretty game" that hearkens from the old-school. Except...you did...

And look what a colossal mess they transmogrified it into...

Of course, if you want to play that game on "mOdErN" grounds then Skyrim has this garbage beat today, and last eon. :winter2019joyfultearsdog:
