infinite loading screen bug

Yeah as the title says sometimes my loading screen are infinite... no idea why its really frustrating and the only thing i can even do when it happens is alt f4
anyone have a fix to this?
it just happens really randomly like i played about 25 hours with zero problem and then suddenly this stuff starts happening :(

oh wow sorry to hear that, ive googled a lot and havent found much one guy said it apparently helps to cap your fps to 60 but i didnt have time to try it yet, i also sent a message to bethesda support, if you want i can let you know what they say when they answer :)

Well, Its only happened once so far. If it happens again, I'll just check back in here to see if there have been any updates. :D

Happening to me a lot too. Really damn annoying. I now save before going through doors/enter dungeons in case the game gets stuck.

It's a classic bethesda game bug that never got fixed, don't expect it to be fixed by virtuos either though not entirely out of the realm of possibility

Some random guy on the internet told me what helped him with this problem was adding the game folder to the Antivirus exception list. Hope that will help.

gonna verify game files now and test later to see if it works ^^ i mean there has to be some fix to his, bethesda support hasnt answered yet but ill post it here if they have a fix

It's uh probably the old autosave loading hang from every other Bethesda game released in the past 15 years. Try disabling autosave on load or whatever.

honestly dont think it is cause in my first 25 hours it was on and worked fine but maybe ill give it a try thanks for the suggestion

its a dumb problem. It's not always a problem but when it is a problem it's a problem. It probably has to do with the save game lag thing where if you have too many saves it takes the game a minute to populate the menu and I think it just times out or something in the loading screens. Idk. Hopefully that fixes it for you dude.

no idea if it got fixed on PC as this discussion was made 13 hours ago but i had this happen to me pn PS5 just recently

I'm 90+ hours in and this has happened to me only 3 times with the infinite load screen. All I did was Ctl Alt Delete and close the game... relaunched it, and I was able to get where I was heading and loading was fine. The last 2 times I had infinite loading, I had it twice in a row after closing game and relaunching it still did it, so closed out game again and relaunched and it was fixed... so you probably just have to do that. But 3 times in 90 hours... I'll take that.
