Gates...No gates

Hello. On my first character i had oblivion gates appearing everywhere no problem but after i realize an error on my character i created a new one and now there are no oblivion gates anywhere besides the story line one on the city of Kvatch. I did notice that while doing the quest after i close thee gate and went to the castle i was getting around double of the monster that appeared. I also got the Savlian Matius Bug were he just stand and does not go inside castle and i went by my own and got him the ring. But now i have ride and ride all over the map and nothing, no gates anywhere. Any fix?

I think you have to do something as part of the main story before they all open.

After you rescue martin Gates will appear, but if you close them all then they are gone, You need to do the next part of the quest , and they will pop up again in greater numbers.

There's not supposed to be any oblivion gates until you close the oblivion gate in kvatch.

The game was bugged the first time by having gates open from the get go.

I talked to Martin and he send me to close the gate, before that gate i did not see any gates at all. Martin was bug in front of the castle but i finished the quest by going by myself and getting the ring of the dead body in castle and giving it to him. I did the next quest were you give the amulet of kings and get the priest to the Blades stronghold and join the blades. Still no Oblivion Gates on the world.

Yes, unless you need ingridents in planes of Oblivion - it is not necessary to rescue the priest Martin. It is an open world, and I usually avoid a lot of quests to do what I enjoy most to explore it without doing a task for someone.

I just left Martin at Cloud Ruler Temple and am hoping that triggers some gates opening. The only gate I've seen was at Kvatch and I'm already level 20.

That happened to me at least 3x, my paladin toon, Rogue toon, and summoner toon. I would hit kvatch at least level 6, it seems the longer you wait to do kvatch the bug will happen with the gates opening. So maybe doing it before level 6 may keep the bug from happening? I don't know.
