Items Stored Dissapear
Everything I store just ends up vanishing. Is anyone else having this issue?!?! I have tried reloading that doesn’t work. Lost some valuable items to the void, its making this game hard to enjoy because i cant store anything without losing it…

Did you store then in your home chest or just a random chest.
Hotels chests are used by other customers, so... use your imagination. But a house of yours (but you will have to pay a lot of money for it) if you are out of money the underwater vampire hideout has a free chest that you dont lose nothing you stored.

There are a lot of free houses or rooms in the game. Look here for their location. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Houses#Abandoned_Shack There are different requirements for getting them. There are others like Frostcrag Spire that came with DLCs that are now part of the base game.

Anything that is not part of Home Storage, except for certain things has a chance to despawn.

two major major safe ones are:

Sacks as they are the most common. storage.

Clams, some near the shores of water ways, I chose one near the Sewer Entrance where you escaped from the dungeons.
-----

Other things are like dead bodies that do not despawn, Jewelry boxes, and a Hollow Stump in the Imperial city.

Anything that is not stored inside marked player chest will be resetted if not being visited within 3 full days. If you are in doubt, it will be better to leave the item on the ground. Higher chance for the item to remain there instead of putting it in public container. Dont confuse this game with KCD. Container in inns ARE NOT player chest. You put item there it will be gone in 3 days.
not every container is safe to use for storage. Most cells outside the player homes (with a few execptions) reset every few days. You need to either use a player home to store anything long-term or there is a list of other places that are considered safe and won't reset here on the wiki https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Containers#Safe_Containers

Ok thanks Tried storing something at the Arena quarters and the mages guild quarters thought I would be safe lol. Ill have to make sure to store in player homes only.

Gotcha thanks. Very dumb that they do this. I tried storing at Arena quarters and mages guild quarters thought I would be safe but I was wrong.
