Allies for Bruma bug?
I've completed the mission but now I'm not sure what to do. No new mission popped up, all I have are side quests.

Quated..
I got the quest. I guess I did have to give Martin the star artifact. When I first spoke to him after getting the artifact he was all like "are you sure you want to do this right now?". So I googled and heard that you should keep it because it's like a reusable soul gem and give him another artifact.

So yeah...
Hopefully this will lead me to the next quest.
Thanks everyone

Yeah, because the star is good. Ask people at the temple district or arcane university for daedra sites and you will get new ones on your map (or just google the locations).
Each daedra shrine gives you such an artifact and you can use any to advance the quest, not just the star.

The quest is optional as it just determines the number of soldiers who will fight when the great gate appears at Bruma. You should continue with the main quest line.

i think you need to tell fighters guild , mage guild, and what eva faction you are member /BOSS of to meet you there. then talk to dude to start main mission??
Sorry its been a while and i have only rescued martin from kavach up till now :)

i think that is the main one , but its still optional, just speak to Goefry or what his name is, should be near the battle ground.
i suggest clearing alot of gates without quests before completing the main questline, they all go away at once, kinda sad

That's where I'm at but it's just the already destroyed gate with no one out here

The next main quest is Defense of Bruma. Allies for Bruma is completely optional and completing it does not give you a new main quest. The main quest's icon always has a brighter color compared to other quests.

Is it normal for Oblivion to not give you a quest marker to show you where to go for the main quest?

As above, its not main quest i guess

Edit,
However! it is normal for some quests such as that one, which is up to you , b'cos youre the member or master of them so know where they are.

The only other colored one I have is the "Blood of the Daedra"
Which I heard that I shouldn't turn that artifact in yet as it's useful and I can give him another artifact that isn't that good.
