Should I buy this game?
Hey guys, I've never played the old Oblivion, but I absolutely loved Skyrim. It's one of my favorite games along with Witcher 3, and I saw this was released lately, followed it through youtube and streams, and as someone who never played old Oblivion is this worth the full price for everything that it offers, in terms of content, QoL updates and all else, how does it feel in general?

Thank you in advance.

If you keep your expectations on the right place: This is a 2006 game. Better story, but worse in mechanics. No dual wield, no dual spells. Clunky and janky animations.
Then yes.
If you expect a Skyrim or better experience, a Wukong or an Elden Ring, then no.

what's your specs
Only if you're a body type 1 will you like this game.

Or is it 2?

Anyway, you won't like it if you're the other one.
I, for 1, love this game. It's like number 2 of my favorite Elder Scrolls games, and my number 1 for inclusion now that it has 1's and 2's.

It's just so diverse, having both 1's and 2's.

Can we have ONE discussion where this isn't mentioned? It almost always ends up derailing the thread, and either losing its original purpose or being locked. Some people actually wanna talk about the rest of the game they paid for.

The old version is worth picking up for it's accessibility and price. You will experience the same fight almost every time considering enemies scale, and all the weapons/spells do roughly the same damage. You will experience this for both versions, but the combat for remaster is slightly better. Modding the old version is very easy to setup and get going too.

You should blame the Developers for even putting it IN the game if it derails conversations. Did the "gamers" put that nonsense IN the game? NO!

Phonies BE Phonies :-D
It's a great remaster, I recommend the buy despite whatever controversy people are trying to drum up.

I am aware of the controversy, but I am kinda staying out of it since I want to know to it's core if this is a good game and nothing else.

So is anything actually upgraded? Are there choices and consequences in this game?

shh adults are talking
If you enjoyed Skyrim you'll have a lot of fun with this. Oblivion is a fantastic game and the graphical upgrade + the better, more straight forward leveling system in the Remaster makes it even better.

Nice then. Hopefully we'll get that performance patch too, soon.
