If you can get 120fps without frame generation why on earth would you have it on in the first place, it's just going to make your game look worse and it sounds like less stable to.
120 for interiors, outdoors it fluctuates between 100 and 120 without it.
Bottom line though, anyone who blames it on Hardware doesnt really know anything, its a Game problem not a User problem. UE5 issues varies between game to game, but Oblivion Remaster seems to have the same issues Ark Ascended had at its launch. Not sure if they even got around to fixing its problems in that game.
40 hours, 0 crashes on a 4090
Friend 1: 72 hours, 1 crash on a 3060
Friend 2: 22 hours, 0 crashes on a 3090
Friend 3: 28 hours, 0 crashes on a 4070
Safe to say, this is your system.
Either way, its not the hardwares fault. Its the game and its horrible optimization.
If I dont get crashes no matter what I do on all the other UE5 games I played, then I shouldn't on this one unless its a optimization problem with UE5.
Only Nvidia and Bethesda can fix this now.
Another ignorant response.
Ill say it again.
Its a optimization issue. Your likely not running the same CPU I am, if you are, then I highly doubt your not crashing, or you turned off Frame Gen.
Once again.
I play other UE5 games perfectly fine, three of them having far higher graphical fidelity than Oblivion Remaster has.
Safe to say, your bullshitting.
Yes, Fullscreen would reduce the impact indeed. I also find it absolutely silly to blame the CPU, when the game barely uses even 15 percent of my CPU, its all being taken care of mainly by my GPU hitting 85-90 percent.
This is absolutely a UE5 problem, and I hope the next major update, will fix some of these issues.
Had 3 crashes in my approx. 14 hours up to now. I have i9-13, 4070ti, 64gbram.
Crashes came when CPU got too hot, and it does with this game. So I found a way to cool it more efficiently and tada, no more crashes. If you still crash, check the status of your i9. They are known to degenerate due to several reasons if not handled properly...
I am also pretty sure it's your system.
My point stands though if your minimum fps is 100 without it you don't need frame generation. It's degrading your visual quality and giving nothing of any value.
Well then tell that to the people playing it right now....about 106k.
It may not work for you but it does them and me.
I told you, if you bothered to actually read a damn thing.
The crashes stopped, soon as I stopped using FrameGen.
I can play Black Myth Wukong, Clair Obscure, The First Descendant, and other UE5 games for several hours at a time, non stop, one sitting, and not get a single, problem.
I know you wanna fanboy it up, but that doesnt help things, if you dont give comparisons and criticism, things dont get fixed.
I also have a vastly superior cooling solution for my CPU than you, I am 120 percent sure.
Its the game at fault.
