How to make Restore Magicka potions
Hi guys,

I try to replicate the sorcery potions healing x amount of magicka instantly.
But it seems there is no way of doing that with alchemy? No matter what ingredients I try I always get x amount of magicka in x seconds which is really just a slight regen boost, nothing more.

Is it possible to make "normal" magicka "healing" potions x amount immediately and if yes, how?

Thanks!

No it is not possible but if you own master alchemy set and maxed alchemy. The restore potion will be far better than those one you bought from store.

Oh ok, how so? Could you add a screenshot how they look like? I'm still a few hours way from mastery :)
Thanks!!
I believe magicka restore gets above 20 magicka/second and goes for over a minute. Which means a single potion can recover well over 1K magicka. You can quaff multiple identical potions at once, So if you consume 8 of them you'll be restoring close to 200 magicka/second but that does require mass production, 100 alchemy and master alchemy tools. That said Flax Seeds and Steel-Blue Entoloma Cap are very easy to find.
There is potion of Sorcery which is instant magicka, and potion of Magicka which is Magicka over time.
It depends on which ingredients you combine, and that depends on how high your Alchemy skill is.
I have made both in hundreds so its definitely possible, you just need the right ingredients.

Oblivion wikis show ingredient effects and what ingredients (herbs/mushrooms/meats) you need, i dont know myself.

I am at 80 alchemy, still only half novice/apprentice alchemy set, my magika potions heal for 8 points over 35s. So 280 mana in total and it only weight 0.1. (given that max mana for a breton with atronach and no magika renforcment is 400, this is a lot already)

There is still margin for progression. with level 100 skill and best tools. Also, I bet you can create enchanted set with alchemy renforcment to get even better potions.

A maxed Alchemy with master alchemy full set give me 24pts for 78s for restore mana and fortify magicka will be 83pts for 268s.
Steel blue entoloma cap and stinkhorn cap both give restore mana. That material easy to find. As for restore and fortify mana you will need shivering isle, not really needed but blister pod cap from shivering isle is really a superb ingredient.
