Oblivion gates aren't discovered anymore!
Hello guys!

I've completed two gates after the one in Kvatch, but I've found two more near Leyawiin and the Shrine of Nocturnal, but after I reload the save, two things happens: they don't appear anymore on map, or, when I reload a previous save next to them, they aren't discovered anymore.

I reloaded a save where these two never spawned, i have four gate markers on my map, one i didn't complete.

Anyone else has this bug?

Thanks!

If you saved the game prior to triggering the gate, approached the gate and it spawned, and then reloaded and approached and it did not spawn, it's just luck since there's a percentage chance based on how far you are into the main questline. If the gate is present and you save right next to it and reload and it's not there, that's a bug.
I believe there have been bugs with Oblivion gates appearing that shouldn't, since some appear for before even doing Kvatch, which shouldn't be the case but they always disappear on reload. Likely these are false gates that weren't meant to exist in the first place.

Thanks for the replies!

it is the second scenario you said. I saved when I was close to them, and, after I reload the save, they're not on the map anymore. Another scenario that happened was to load a previous save after the bug happened, and, when i trigger another one on the same place, they're not discovered.

I had that happen (gates disappearing) prior to closing the Kvatch gate (they shouldn't have been there) but not since, but I also aggressively close them as soon as they pop up so it's hard to know if it's still happening. Maybe I'll leave one alone and come back and see if it disappears.

Please, it would be great if you report here later :)

Yeah, the portal near Blankenmarch and Veyond dungeon is bugged, I completed other dungeons and came back to this portal and I saved next to it. When I reloaded the save, it was bugged
Well, it seems that, if you are having trouble with Oblivion gates disappearing from the map and the world, after reloading a save that you created next to those gates, you should fast travel to another place before reload them, and check your map; the gates will be there. Then, you can reload the saves.

For both gates near to the Nocturnal Shrine, I did that. And it worked

I guess I'll need start doing dedicated saves next to gates because I've had 2 disappear on me after finding them. The one next to Anvil and the other next to Bravil. Both still had the corpses of the creatures I killed next to where the gates had been. Both no longer have map markers either.
Gates not attached to the main quest disappear after few days if you didn't go inside. The ones linked to the main quest should stay open. If you see a gate in the wild just sitting there in a middle of nowhere it will disappear on it's own within 2-3 in game days.
It seems this is a remastered bug since I don't recall this happening in the og.
Completed an oblivion gate North, North-East of Kvatch. Prior to completion I exited very briefly to test something and to my surprise I was inside of a rock. I reloaded a save from within the obvlion gate and exited with the sigil stone.. only to spawn in the rock again, obvlion gate like it was never there, also doesn't show up on the map.

I'm curious to see if there are any implications to the story by completing a gate that technically isn't there to begin with.
