this is not a bait post or for fighting in the comments. i wont be responding to anyone, and i encourage people not to engage with whatever goes on down there.

the massive flood of bigotry, hate speech, and culture war garbage that seems to accompany basically every modern release for even the smallest of perceived slights (see deadspace bathrooms) is a coordinated effort coming almost entirely from the same place: https://steamcommunity.com/groups/deidetected and its affiliated sites and influencers.

the group functions as a way to organise harassment campaigns against journalists and developers and has been responsible for stalking, doxxing, sexually harassing, and sending death threats to them, this has been widely reported on (see gamergate 2.0). most of its members regularly violate the steam community guidelines, but steam enforcement is based on reporting; if they don't get reported, there's no automatic detection system to handle them (to my knowledge), so lets get them off of here.

just go to https://steamcommunity.com/groups/deidetected and report the group, simple as, no need to fight with the private profile droid army. if you want you can report their messiah as well; https://steamcommunity.com/id/kabrutus lets make steam a nicer place.

oh and maybe leave a . or something if youd like so people see this.

I'm bumping this

It's what I called the alt campaign...it's a handful of people making alts to try to blow up a situation. The amount of threads and comments are NOT representative to the amount of people who agree with said arguement. Private accounts or kamakazi accounts littering the front page of the forums with repeat threads has to stop.

It's getting quite irritating, and Steams negligence to take care of this problem is even worse....

I miss the Steam forums....and will naturally and eventually faze out Steam if this continues.

Steam needs to start tieing accounts to something other than emails...half the forums are bots now

I could give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ what they're fighting...I just can't stand campaigns.

But the irony of it all is it's impossible not to have DEI on an elementary level...unless the developer outright comes out and says it like WuKong you'll always see these guys on the front page of these forums

It's an issue I don't have any stake in outside of how hypocritical both sides can be regarding the argument "it's just two words". Both sides are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, pissing, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when they're losing.

Outside of this, there isn't much of a change from the og, which is why there's such a hyper-fixation on the sole thing that may have been influenced by the DEI trend.

The whole discourse is a fun -albeit obnoxious- spectacle

DEI itself is a group that force hate and racism against people, if you look at it, it is clrear.
Just ban DEI and Punish the people who use it as hard as regular Racism and hate speach.

either way, DEI detected isn't really doing anything wrong... or if they are, there's too many people on their side for reports to matter anyways. I dont care one way or the other, this post, just like all the posts about body type vs m/f, or claiming the game's woke, its all just yummy troll posts on both sides of the fight, and I adore it all~
