I forgot the randomness of the lines in oblivion. Dialogue has come a long way in the gaming industry
For example - Rindir in the Imperial City (and most Altmer) now sound like the courier from Skyrim. Quest related ones often have their OG voice though.

Yeah the "or worse" was a reference to the generic voices for each race/gender combination. And no shade on the VAs themselves, the direction was terrible. And in everyone's defense, a game with this much voice acting was ahead of its time back in '06.
As good as it was back then it was really weird sometimes. Especially when you are walking and all of a sudden you are jerked around and somebody's bizarre face is staring at you and they are gabbing away about some out-of-context story.
