4090 performance
I'm playing this game @ 4k ultra everything using DLSS quality and frame gen, the game never dips below 60 fps

All of these people saying the 4090 struggles to hit 60fps are talking rubbish

Edit: to clarify, the game runs between 80 and 120 fps using these settings. However the general consensus seems to be that the game runs like crap and "even a 4090 struggles to hit 60 fps"

Isn't the 4090 the second strongest GPU right now? If that was struggling what were they playtesting on?

I am running a 5900X with 4090 on 2K on ultra. With DLSS on balanced I was dipping below 60 FPS. I changed it to performance and now I am staying closer to 100 FPS.

60 fps with frame gen is kinda bad because it will feel like low fps. You rather want adjust settings to it stay 120+ almost whole time without big dips in fps.

Even my 4070 ti holds to 60 frames everywhere in 4k ultra settings.

I think the majority of issues come from people that haven't optimised their rigs, are running a lot of background processes, or poor drivers.

I generally hit between 80 and 120fps using gsync so havn't capped it
The performance of UE5 isn't optimized properly. It's janky.
I'm also playing the game in 4K with a 4090 and there are definitely drops to below 60 FPS, you just have to find the right spots out in the world. if I lower the shadow quality from Ultra to high it's better, but the sure fix is dropping DLSS from quality to Balanced or Performance. DLSS4 Performance/Balanced looks better than DLSS3 Quality.
but that's without Frame Generation, don't measure performance with frame generation, not dropping below 60 FPS with FG really means not dropping below 30 FPS.
4090 here. 2k resolution. 5800X3D. 64GB RAM. All game settings on Ultra. RT hardware off. RT software on low. DLSS on balanced. No Reflex. I very rarely dip below 138 FPS if at all. Installed https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivionremastered/mods/79?tab=files which seems to help. Still get a "stutter" every once in a great while but most of the time the game is buttery smooth.
Forgot to mention I'm using GSync with frames capped to 141 FPS in the NVIDIA control panel. Vsync off in game - on in the control panel.

That's the thing, they weren't testing. You are the tester now. :steamhappy:

There is no way they tested the game and didn't see the crashing.

Modern game studios don't care about testing or actually fixing bugs because the modern gamer will buy the product anyway. Why should they fix the bugs when you'll buy and keep buying whether they do so or not?

I know I wouldn't. If I could just say "give me money" and you give it, don't deliver, ask you again, and you do the same thing every time -- that's an infinite money glitch I don't want to fix.

I need to go back and look at my settings. The 5800X3D is better than my 5900X but not by much. I watched a video where the 2 were compared in over 10 different games and the difference was less than 10FPS across the board.

Ironically FPS cap at 60 and not running Frame Gen will probably be more smooth than Frame Gen at 60 fps (techinally 30 fps). I still use Frame Gen because it helped me to improve visual quality and still staying at least above 100 fps all time. (using I5-14400f and 4070).

Impressive, very nice.
Let's see it without AI generated frames.
